How can I prevent a Linux user from receiving email?

I had to change my email address from maxh[at]mydomain.com to max[at]mydomain.com because of uncontrollable spam (despite using blacklists etc). I did this by creating a new user "max" in Linux, and advising relevant people of my new address.

I don't really want to delete the original Linux user maxh, but I would like to get Sendmail to treat this email address as "Unknown User" so that it's stopped as soon as possible in the processes.

Can anyone suggest the method to do this please?

Open /etc/mail/virtusertable and add this line:

maxh@domain.com error:nouser This server does not allow spam

You can change "This server does not allow spam" to any message you want.
