I am using net express 3.1 32 bit. I am getting corrupted files because users are shutting down the software using the "X" to close the window instaed of exiting properly from our software. I believe Micro Focus is creating the actual window when we do a CBL_WRITE_SCREEN_CHATTRS. Is there a way to disable the X - close window button?

Hi,

I am also using Net Express 3.1. In the past we had the similar problem. I have solved it using a C++ routine, which is in a dll. If you e-mail me at marcel.kuiper@wxs.nl, I will send you the dll and a Net Express sample of calling it.

This will really get your clients angry. The more appropriate solution is to shut down your software properly when the X is selected.

Are you using the dialog system part of net express to create your screen?? If you were, you could use the 'closed-window' event which fires when the 'X' is pressed.

We simply have a copy book whos main funtion is CBL_WRITE_SCR_CHATTRS. We do not use panels and it is not GUI.
