DISABLING PHONES

WE 'VE NOTICED ALOT OF PHONES WITH JUST TIME AND DATE. WE HAVE TO ENABLE THE TN. IS IT A BAD TN? THANKS
 
either a bad tn or set OR the user unplugged the set and midn ran.. when you enable the tn and idu x x x x do you see the serial number of the set?

It could be a few things, but yes it could be a bad TN, but more likely it is wiring or a bad phone. If it keeps happening to the same phone, replace it. If it still happens then check the wiring/and or the TN at that point.

I have also seen a bad ground cause phones to disable on an Option 11.

have to agree with that, i've seen sets disable on an 11 way more often the a larger switch.. like you say bad or worse dirty ground

You can do a quick check on each TN in LD 30
UNTT TN, if set disables then look at the NWS code and either wiring fault or phone or TN problem.
