Hey all - I have a question regarding caller ID. We just switched from Nortel CS1000 to Cisco IP and Call Manager 8 - My question is this:

We have one phone that is setup up to be an anonymous "tip" hotline, so I need to disable all caller ID functions for incoming calls to that phone, so the person monitoring that line doesn't know who is calling in. Is there a way to disable the caller ID displaying information on a per device case like this?

Any light you all can shed on this would be great!!

Thanks!

Build a translation pattern ie #1234.
In that, set up your partition and CSS etc as appropriate (same as phones)
Set Calling line ID presentation and Calling name presentation to Restricted
set Called party transformation mask to the phone # that will answer the tip calls.
When you test, you should see "restricted" come up in the screen and no number or name.

Of course you would publish the #1234 (or a DID or spare number) for users to call, not the extension of the tips phone!!

Trvlr1,

Thank you very much for this - That works perfectly!! Much appreciated.!!
