I have a DG834 router that gives us shared DSL access in our small office.
You can get to the router login prompt by using its local ip address, but I'm mindful that you can get to the same prompt by it's external IP, or rather the IP given by our ISP.
The remote management is OFF, which when activated, says you can remotely access it by using ip address>:8080. It blocks access if I put this in the browser (which is correct behaviour) but I can bypass it by removing the :8080 part, which seems a bit daft?! Any ideas on how to block it off properly?
Thanks
Dan
