My co-worker is experiencing weirdness when trying to open an Excel file in a SharePoint portal page. It is pulling it up as an Excel file directly in Explorer, but her standard choices are not allowed (File, Edit, View, etc.) She can use some of them, but not anything that will allow manipulation of the data. Here are some things that I have tried or checked.

1) I have accessed the same file through my system and was successful. This tells me that it's either her permissions or a system setting.

1a) We checked her permissions and they are good. We compared system settings and could find no differences.

2) Her shortcut keys (CTRL-F for find, etc.) work fine. But she could not do this by the menu. (Edit --> Find does not work because clicking on the Edit does nothing.)

We are both running Office 2003 and Explorer 6.0. Any ideas?
