Hi,

I disable Windows XP tour as follows.
User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Tour]
System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\
Tour]
Value Name: RunCount
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: Remaining times to prompt (0 = disabled)

But it always shows up the first time someone logs in. How can it be disabled for good so that new users would not see it at any time?

Thanks

This should cover what you need:

You'll need to register to download if you haven't already but it's free and a great resource anyway.

The download contains two VBscripts. I'm sure you could work these into part of the first run process so the user never sees any request for running the Tour.

I used to have a handle on life... but it broke. Cpt. Red Bull
