I read in a previous post , that i should not allow windows 2k to load the Quantum drivers for my DLT

(constantly getting a SCSI port error when it comes time for the changer to swap tapes)

How do i do this? Just disble the Tape Drive through Device Manager? Or actually delete the drivers?

sorry for my ignorance, any and all help appreciated.

Disabling the devices in device manager should suffice. And don't be sorry for asking this question! There is no such thing as a stupid question!!! and I bet there are quite a few others out there who would like this clarified as well.

A stupid person is someone who does not ask questions and then proceeds to cock up big time. As Guru said, there is never a stupid question in the IT Industry... -----------------------------------------------------
