Hi!
I keep reading that Virtual PC will run a lot faster if I disable Virtual Memory. I'm running Windows 2000 on Virtual PC 6 on a PB 17" but I can't figure out how to disable virtual memory. Does anyone know how?
Thanks!

Virtual Memory is a MacOS9 feature, I do not believe the PB 17" can run MacOS9, so it is not a solution for your situation.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

'Virtual PC' should never be used in the same sentence as 'run a lot faster'. My Win98 on a 1GHz G4 is intolerably slow - - I would not imagine what Win2K is like.

Hmmm. Okay. Thanks for your replies. Out of curiousity, does Virtual PC run faster in OS 9? If so, what version of Virtual PC would I need to run it in OS 9?
Thanks again for your replies!

1) on the same Mac, Vitual PC is less slow in MacOS9 than on OSX
2) The PB 17" can't run MacOS9
3) older macs that CAN run MacOS9 are often slower than the PB 17" to begin with

this may be a no win scenario, virtual PC is not a performance solution, usually it is just used for 1 or 2 obscure peices of software, with no mac version.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
