I need to disable USB devices that my be attached to company computers. We use USB mice and keyboards but we can't allow users to use any USB thumb drives or other USB devices. I have heard about SecureNT software but was wondering if anyone uses anny other software or other ways to accomplish this task.

I would appreciate any suggestions and help with this issue.

If tools don't work, you can alway turn OFF automatic detection of PnP devices and of course restrict access to the registry.

Have a look at the shop @ !

There is a MS technote on this.

I don't have it here, but I'll post it tomorrow (or you could search for it :))

Take Care

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Go here, there is the information here for the workaround in service pack 2 for XP.
Have a read and see if this is feasable for your environment, or provide more info here for additional help.

Good luck,
