I am doing some testing for the next day and will have the voicemail down.

When it is down the endusers outlook hangs while it is timing out looking for the voicemail.

Is there a way to temporarily disable the UM client and then re-enable it once the voicemail is back up?

I dont want to get a bunch of calls and I dont want to uninstall and re-install to the desktops.

Thanks

Go to the properties box for call pilot on the outlook tools.
untick the auto password login box.

This prevents the outlook looking for the call pilot login you see at the starting up of Outlook.

when the callpilot login box appears press cancel so as it doest log in.

I am posting the step by step in case anyone needs it in the future.

1. In outlook right click "CallPilot Desktop Messaging"
2. Left click "Data File Properties."
3. Left Click the Radio Button labeled "Advanced."
4. Uncheck Remember password or remove the IP Address. (I prefer IP address because when I change it back I don’t have to know everybody's voicemail passwords.)
5. Restart Outlook - When Outlook starts it will prompt you for the Unified Messaging.
6. Press Cancel and Outlook will start without trying to connect to CallPilot.
