Disable the computer's search....

Hi everybody, my question is.....exist a way to disable the option of search a computer in the companion search assistent????

There are several ways, the remarkable Kelly Theriot notes several under the 'S' section on her site:

It sounds like you have Search Assistant, a toolbar option. This is not part of XP, but malware.
