Disable spell check in only parts of document

I know this is possible but I haven't been able to find out how to do it anywhere...

I want to disable the spell check feature of word in only parts of the document I'm working in. I know how to turn it off for the entire document, but does anyone know how to do it for certain selections of text??

Menu may differ depending on your version, but select your text and then Mark the text using:

Tools/Language/Set Language and check "Do not check spelling or grammar"
