I know there is probably an easy way of doing this but my ? is can I prevent the dialog box from coming up and just print the page.Iam looking at a point in my database that when a time value is reach in my PLC(programmable logic controller)the value returned=1 then print()simply put. This will work only if the page is active.I don't even care about this but my bosses do it has to do with total flows at a water plant for a 24hr period and they want it to print it out on weekends. As long as someone dosn't forget to leave it minimized on Friday.[noevil]

Heh, I know the pain of strange requests for plat reports, I'm actually procrastinating from doing a few right now :)

Are you doing this in a web page or an application (excel, etc)?

If it is in a web page, you can't. The browser doesn't give up control of the printing process, only allows you to intialize it.

Local intranet htm stuff is all Iam doing. Thanks for your quick response,I didn't think there was a way of getting around it.

compfritz -

You could write a page that allows your bosses to access any 24 hour period they desire, any time they desire it. That way they could come in on a Monday morning and print the weekend's reports as needed. It's kinda crazy to say, "As long as someone dosn't forget to leave it minimized on Friday".

Write a report page and blow their socks off! You could even have a weekly report with a bar chart..... Get the Best Answers! faq333-2924

There is no quick way to do industrial reporting :)
I wish I was allowed to do mine in html, trade you excel reports for it ;)
