Can anyone tell me how to remove either Printers and faxes from the start menu in Windows XP or how to remove settings from the start menu in the classic menu on Windows XP. I have looked everywhere for a GPO setting but can not find one.

If you do a right click on the start button then go to properties Start menu; Customize from there you can select what you want on start up ad what you do not want

If you are creating gpo's for users:
To address start menu options:
User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Start Menu & Taskbar

To address printer control options:
User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Control Panel/Printers
