I have 3 machines running winxp pro on a win2000 server. During the evenings these users are downloading games, changing internet options, etc. and filling the computers with pop ups and spyware. How can I disable their options? I just set their accounts to user accounts - they were set as administrators. I need help to get them under control!

Thanks

Others here will give you hints and lead you to software progs that will help you establish control.

The only thing i can do is suggest a written policy on what these people are allowed to do on these computers and what is not allowed, and the form of discipline that will be taken when rules are broken.
I suppose that if this is a sort of situation where you are hiring people at minimum wages and such people are hard come by, and they are the same type who could care less if they are fired or not, then the written policy may not have much effect.

Have you Active Directory installed? If so Group Policy can go some way in which to help combat this ro even local policies which you implement on each machine

Yes, I think I have active directory installed. I'm new to all this win2000 server networking stuff. What do I need to do?

Thanks

I'm not sure if these ideas help but...
Have you considered any internet parental control software? I don't have any experience with them. Can you find out what sites the users are visiting and enter them into the hosts file on the local machines with 127.0.0.1 as the address for the sites?
Hope that helps.
