Hi there!

Does anybody know how to lock mouse and keyboard during an update process without a reboot?
I know that these keys
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Kbdclass\Start=0
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Mouclass\Start=0
can be set, but they take not effect until the computer has rebooted.
I would need a hint for NT4 and W2k.

Any suggestion is welcome!

regards
mike

interested in this also..

too many people here decide to ctrl alt del or open outlook, IE, etc, during service pack 4 updates.. resulting in an hour+ long repair/reload.
