Hi, when I try running a job in job agent I get the following error message:
[364] The messenger service has not been started NetSend notifications will not be sent.
I've read that it's not a good idea to run messenger services on a server. How do I diable it for this job?
Thanks,
Michael Kohler

Edit the job, and on the notifications tab uncheck the NETSEND option.

Thanks for the reply, but the Net send notification was already unchecked. I don't have any of the options checked under notification. Should I be checking one of them? I tried the Email option, but there are no email addresses in the drop down menu.

To send a notification you have to create an operator, then the operator will be shown in the drop down.

If you don't have net send notification's checked, then you can probably ignore the message.
