disable ip forwarding

I have a proxy server which when a user enters its ip address in the browser and port 80, then he can hack into the company network.
We put the firewall rules in place but ip forwarding is still enabled to allow external person to get into the network.
I need to know how ip forwarding can be disabled.
Any help here would be appreciated.

What OS is the proxy server?

sorry forgot to mention that. solaris 2.6
I understand that I need to disable it in the app only but would like to get more info on hwo taht can be done

This should do it for Solaris:

ndd -set /dev/ip ip_forwarding 0
