is there a way to disable internet explorer on workstations???

This is to prevent certain users from using the internet

we use a proxy, so we thought we could remove the proxy info and all will be fine. However the users have gotton smart and know what the proxy settings are

so is there a file or a regisrty hack or something that can disable IE?

thanks very much

if you have windows 2000 server, you can create a group policy for those users who you want to restrict, and not only can you reset their proxy settings at definable interludes, but you can stop them from being able to run iexplore.exe or any other executable you want.

PAndersen's tip is good too, but i am not sure if this will prevent them from changing the proxy settings via the registry editor, if they know how to do that..
