I have a remote user running windows XP and he has pulled down a policy from out AD that we have set to prevent users from changing their proxy settings. He is at a client site and needs to get a internet connect and cannot do so because the policy has been cached to his local machine. Is there a way to disable this poilcy so the user can make the change to the IE proxy settings.

Help is appreciated.

Thank You

In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Connections, LAN settings.

Yes but I have set the policy in AD so the users cannot change those settings. They are pre-set and all greyed out.

I was able to find a registery key that fixed it.
