Hello,
I have a small organizational VB6 app that I am creating for my work that will open a collection of MS Word 97 documents. I want other people to be able to open the docs, but not edit them, so I was having them open into the MS Word Viewer program provide by MS. BUT - turns out that if you have Word already installed on your machine (which all the other folks do) that you can then edit the document -- a menu option enables in the viewer to go into word.
My question - is there some programatic way to disable the viewer from seeing Word, so as not to allow edits. (not that I think most people in the office would even discover that they could edit, but just in case )
Thanks
