Disable drill-down on sub reports

I have several sub reports in a report. Among other things, there are email addresses displayed in these sub reprots.

I have added mailto: links to these fields but of course, in a web browser, the first click will bring up the sub report and only the second will create a new email.

Is there any way to disable drill-down on sub reprots but leave links enabled?

Why not return the mailto: links from the subreport and have the main report display them? Then it ought to go directly.
