I have Disable Direct Root Login on all my lpars (to harden).

So, now scp, rcp, and my fav rsync don't work because of that ... does anyone know if I can changed ssh conf file or something with rsa keys to enable me to rsync between lpars???

Thx

Odd, this just came up yesterday in my shop. There is a value in the sshd_config file called "RSAAuthentication". From my understanding that will allow key use when you have the root remote login disabled.

I haven't tested yet so I could be wrong.

Hmmm ...
How did you disable root login ?

e.G. using "smitty user" -> "Change / Show Characteristics of a User" you can choose the following:

Code:
  User can LOGIN? true +
User can LOGIN REMOTELY(rsh,tn,rlogin)? true +

Regards,
Thomas
