Disable % Complete Calculation?

I have a server that has thousands of files on it, that does not even start writing to tape until an hour after the backup policy starts - I believe it is because the agent is calculating the total size of the backup.

Is there any way to disable this?

Remove the NetBackup Client Job Tracker fromt he server. Do not have this running.
