Hi,
We are using word here and some of my employee's have been using word for memo's. They use the custom templates in word which have the date autoformat already in place. We work at a bank so we have to show the original dates that memo's were written. I figured out how to go in and edit the template date field...What about the 100's of memos we have written that need to have the orginal date on them. When we open them up it gets the current date off the system clock. Any suggestions on getting those dates back without have to open each file in notepad to see the orginal date and typing it in?

Thx,
Ryan

You could change the field to the CREATEDATE type.

Goto Insert->Field..., select Date and Time from the list on the left and then select CreateDate from the field on the right.

This field will only display the date and time that the documant was created.

Unfortunately you will have to do this for all of the documents as well.

I hope this helps!

Peace! [peace]

Mike
