I have an older laptop that I just upgraded to RH 7.2 and from LILO to GRUB. My system "panics"" when I load the APM daemon and I used to load the kernel via LILO with the apm=off argument. Is there a way to change the GRUB params to do the same? I can't seen to find it any any of the LINUX DOC and HowTo sites.

Thanks in advance

you should be able to append the apm=off at the end of the kernel line in your /etc/grub.conf file

eg.

kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.18-0.13 ro root=/dev/hda3 vga=791 apm=off

I have not tried it my machine, but it should work. AV
