Have a BCM 450 with two ASM8 modules for analog ports. Is it possible to disable a single individual analog port?

Thanks.
Jim

Exsmogger, when I select the ASM, I don't see anything in the lower half of the screen. In fact, none of the resources show me anything in the lower section. I tried disabling the card, but no change.

The jumper is off MooreTel, but this port still calls other extensions randomly. Would like to try to disable this particular port only to see if it helps.

Thanks.
Jim

You maybe suffering from javanitus.

See the FAQ's

I forgot about java. Dang! I thought I had it figured out when I got my new laptop and had some trouble. Thought I got a java version that worked. At least it allowed me to run EM and connect. But apparently, for this part of the EM, it wasn't enough.

I dug out an old laptop and was able to see the lower half of the resources page. However, when I selected the specific port, there was nothing in the details pane. None of the ports showed anything. More java issues?

Jim

There have been a lot of cases where people may not seen some of the programming such as the Resources , IP Sub system or Data Services.
The first case we heard of was fixed by backtracking to Java 1.5.

For me on Windows 10 with EM 62.05 I have to have a newer version and an older version installed and/or the Option number 2 in the FAQ I posted where you need to remove the MD5 references.

You should know that BCM is not a Norstar system, BCM forum is here:

Sorry...which.

And what is the one on the XP?

I want to duplicate (start fresh) and test.
I was asked if I had a cheat sheet for what java works with which Rls and EM.
They had to download an older version that I usually mention and then disable the current one.....this was on Win 10/64.

I realized after the second post that I wasn't in the right forum. My original post was from my phone, so I'll blame it on that, however, it's ultimately my mistake. Sorry. I haven't used this site as much as another one I'm familiar with. If I knew how to move this thread I would.

I'm trying a couple of pc's, experimenting with java and EM versions. What a pita. EM 62.0.3 with Java 7.71 (1.7.0_71-b14) on Win 10 x64 shows me the individual ports, but no "disable" button anywhere, at least for the ports. Can disable the whole card.

Jim

Thanks Brian

No worries Jim, that was for future.

Click on Brian's link and update your EM.
Maybe it's related (java issue) but for me the link (or BCM's main page) no longer works in Firefox or Chrome but does in IE 11.

I know it doesn't work in Chrome anymore, and it doesn't work in Opera, which is Chromium based. Java is no longer supported on Chrome or Firefox, but I keep an older version of Firefox (46.0.1) on my PC and it does work with that.

I don't have any Win10 machines as I've resisted upgrading, so I can't speak to compatibility issues with EM & Java. I like Win7 and will stay with it as long as I can, then make the switch to Linux.
