disa to fax

Hi I have an NCP500 with analogue trunks & wish to use the fax through disa facility. I am told that in order to do this I must disable the message facility on the onboard card then fit an OPB3 with another svm2/4 card so that I still have voicemail.I know I can set the Disa no input to the fax extension & that works but it is not very satisfactory. Is there a simpler way to do this without the expense of additional cards
