I understand what DISA is and how it works, but what exactly is DISA DN?

DISA DN is the received digits the system is looking for on DID trunks to use the DISA option.

Is this a "security" issue then? Is the system only allowing certain DN's to have access to DISA?

Never tried as an extension then accessing from an Auto Attendant. Let me try when I get to the office and get back on this one..

Ok, can't use the DISA DN from the Auto Attendant, so it must be digits received from the carrier. Once set, you will get stuttered dial tone from the BCM, at that point enter a COS Password code, you will get straight dial tone. Once there, you can dial wherever the COS Password allows you to dial...

Thanks, that does answer some questions. However I still can't dial through an ATA from a VoIP trunk like I need. I've been told that there is a patch for 3.5 that might address this, but I can't find it. I may have to have AT&T reroute digits through a DID trunk to the second site. Again, here's the scenerio:

Site A: BCM400 4.0
Calls enter through ground start T1 and are redirected to site B via VoIP.

Site B: BCM400 3.5
Calls are routed from VoIP to digital ext.149 which is attached to an ATA. The ATA is attached to a telebank machine.

Problem: ATA won't pass DTMF.
Current resolution: Calls are routed through E&M T1 and working properly, however all voice traffic must be removed from this circuit due to impending elimination.
