Does anyone have any suggestions regarding DISA. It seems that when a caller dials into the MD on an analog DISA trunk that the Dial Tone will not time out if the caller doesn't enter any digits. I can't seem to find any ASPAC's or other areas where this could be controlled.

Any Idea?

No setting to increase the timer, it had to be done in the code. But what is the purpose of having disa and doesn't dial any digits??? Give me a good answer and maybe I can help you increasing it...

I don't want to increase it, I want to limit it just like if you go off hook on a phone you only have a few seconds to enter digits or you get timed out.

What is happening is that if a caller dials into the system they could keep up the dial tone registers forever if they don't hang up. I would like to disconnect the dial tone registers if the caller doesn't enter any digits in 10 seconds.

This way other callers could call in.

Can it be decreased in the code or set to x - seconds?

Thanks!

I will try to check it, but I need to know the BC release of the system. Then what route are you using for disa call, RODAP that route and you will see the TYPE. You said its analog disa trunk, if type is TL11 for example can you CNPIP:UNIT=TLP11; If type is TL1, unit will be TLP1. Post the BC and CNPIP here.

I believe it is either BC 7.0 or BC 7.2. It is TL11. I will request CNPIP. No remote accsess to this customer. It may take a day or two to get cnpip.

Thanks

Can you verify if the disa tone times out in 8 sec period...

No time out at all.

The circuit will stay off hook at least 5 minutes, and then
only way to disconnect it is to restart the board.

I should have the CNPIP on 12/6/02.

Thanks for your help!

No, no time out at all. It's a real problem. Should have CNPIP today

Rgds,

Thanks

URGENT???

Does anyone have any ideas regarding the DISA dial tone, I havn't heard from Patcher, perhaps he is on holiday?

Thanks

I am still here, I have no time now to check it but I tried it on higher BC release and doing the same thing. I suspect we had to patch it and the problem is you have old BC release and also somebody should support the patch all the way when you upgrade. If I have time I will take a look but dont expect too much because I dont like to send a patch by email. If the patch is small, I will publish it here. Sorry for the delay. // patcher

Thanks for your help, I am hoping to be able to have this resoved by 11/19/02. I can give you an email address if you can email a patch.

Thanks!

Sorry for the delay, can you give me the rocap&rodap of your disa. I try it in BC10 and it timeout after 8 sec. Not sure if the fault is happening in BC7. I dont have BC7 here.
//patcher

Patcher,

RODAP:ROU=85,TYPE=TL11,VARC=00000000,VARI=00000508,VARO=00020815;
ROCAP:ROU=85,SEL=011010000000,TRM=4,TRAF=01151515,SIG=100000001000,BCAP=0011,DIST=30,DISL=128,NODG=0;

What are you using in BC10 for Rodap&Rocap?

Thanks, Can you check today?

Hi,

Sorry for interruption.
I think VARI should be= 00000580 not 00000508

I hope it helps.

I tried it here. I RODNI the route to numtyp DI and it timed out. Not sure what is your problem. I check TLP11 and as soon as you receive dial tone, a timer is set. This is after receiving signal ENTREGSTA. That is why there is no way that a disa call will not time out. It will and alsways will. Try my set up, RODNI it to NUMTYP=DI. If still faulty can you PCLOP:UNIT=TLP11;.../patcher

Problem Solved!!!! As NIUX suggested VARI was incorrect. Thanks to all who responded!
