Directory Sort Order 1

Hello,
Recently we started having a few problems with some of our windows 98 boxes. Normaly the Directories sort by name but these machines INSIST on sorting by last modified.

I have changed these machines to sort by name and saved the settings using the folder options. This works until the machine reboots or about 10 or so directories have been viewed, at which point they simply switch back to listing by last modified.

Has anybody else struck this? and more importantly is there a fix besides doing a complete re-install?

Try Opening My Computer and sort by Name or Type or whatever you like.....then while holding down the
CTRL+SHIFT keys
click the "X" with mouse to close the window

Also in Windows Explorer, do it too,if necessary
