Is there a maximum number of files that can be in one directory? Also, what is the maximum size of a filesystem for AIX 5?
 
Dear friend.
My eanglish is not very good.

The answer to your question depends on some things.

First, max number of file that can have a directory depends on Max number of inodes that can have filesystem to which it belongs.

Second, the max size of filesystems is of 1 TB as much for jfs as for jfs2.
