I have a PDC which has around 500 users home directories on it. I would like this server to replicat the folder which contains all 500 home directories to replicate onto the BDC ever evening. Is this possible?

It is possible to replicate this in near realtime using File Replication Services on Windows 2003. However, you can set the schedule to replicate as and when required, if it is only necessary to be replicated at certain points in time.

In order to set this up, look at the Directory replication service wizard. I found this most useful, and was able to set this up on our servers in a matter of minutes. I first thought there must be more to it, but it has now been working fine for many months.

Cheers,

If you just want some thing that is simple, try robust copy on the Win2k resource kit, its a bit like Xcopy but has a lot more features, we have been using it to replicate data between servers.

Cheers
