We have 5 exchange sites which are all separated by kilostream links. The main Site which is called HUB is houses the Bridgehead server and has X.400 connectors to each of the other sites in the Exchange organisation.
Only recently directory replication from one of the sites stopped being recieved by the Hub site. Therefore any users that have been added to the reciepients list at the remote site are not being replicated through to the Global address list on the other sites.
I have checked the application log of the remote server having the problems and the only error message is 1091 which is a directory replication error stating that:-
The directory replication agent (DRA) attempted to open mail with name /o=ORGANISATION/ou=SITE/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=SERVERNAME/cn=MicrosoftDSA:SERVERNAME but recieved error 2147746077. Messages could not be sent. Make sure the mail service on this Exchange server computer is running.
Microsoft Tecnet states that to resolve this all you need to do is confirm that the MS Exchange Directory service is configured to use the Exchange Service account through services and Startup. I re-assigned this account to this service and stopped and started the services like the document stated but this has not solved the problem. Can any one help as I have reached a mental block!
Cheers
