Directory Mailbox 1

I have a typical Merlin Legend system, The admin box works in 9997, and all that. The problem is, that when you dial in, it hits the mailbox 400. Someone is on there talking about the Directory listing, I need to access that message and change it, but no idea how to get to it. I checked the system admin messages, and the message for mailbox 400. but its not there.

I want to leave a message on the main number of people in my company. I just cant figure out how to enter the directory listings mailbox, whatever that is. Thanks for your help

Sometimes on a system with DID trunks The Group 770 gets renumbered to the Lead number in the range, so if someone were to call the main number the automated attendant picks it up. So it might not be mail box 400 that has the greeting you are looking for but it may actually be the automated attendant greeting.

ok so I should change the voice message for Mailbox 770? I hit in 770 and that is the VM I think. How can i change a greeting for a group. Sorry i am kinda new to this :)
 
Since 770 is your Calling group for the voice mail so you can ignore my previous post. Log in as the Administrator and Go in to AA setup the 6 to modify the *# to back out then it asks about the dial 0 time out action then you accept, then it says would you like to record a new greeting and that is where you record it

Hi,

Hey thanks, what you said helped me. I am not sure how I got into it, but i needed to modify Menu Prompt 1. I think it said there is 1-9, i dont know what the other 8 are used for. Its in the Menu Definition. I have no clue how I got in here, but I got it. On menu prompt 1, I left a message with all our employees and there extentions. Like Joe Smith 101, Sally Struthers 102 etc. I think your directed me to the right place, thanks for the help!
 
Also you can Tell the Callers to Dial *2 in the main menu. When they do the get dial by last name directory
