Hi!

I'm new to apache & i've installed it on Windows 2000. I want to prevet users from viewing contents under the htdocs directory. Can someone please rush me the information.

Warm Regards,

Mahesh

There are a few ways to do this...

One way is to edit the httpd.conf file and

DirectoryIndex index.html index.php /error.html

Make sure that you have all the index files you want before the error file and change the error file to whatever file you have in your htdocs directory and want users to get instead of the listing.

Other way is to remove the option Indexes.

Hope this helps

Wullie
