I am the senior computer assistant to a largish high school.

The network is Novell 4.11 using NT workstations.

The problem is with some users (from the organisational unit, students)in that when they try to save a document in their home directory, a Windows message (directory full or too many files open)pops up and they cannot save the file. The Users volume has 3Gb of space and there are no restrictions on the users directories in either their profiles or directories nor on the volume details.

How can I overcome this?

Any help greatly appreciated as it is a problem to the teachers.

Cheers

Hi Ejcou0
This is the exact error we are getting for some of our users.

Did you ever fix the problem?

Are you using a MAP ROOT command to map the Drive?

If so, try navigating through the Directory Structure from a Drive Mapping that maps to the ROOT of the Volume and try it again. There seems to be an issue with the NetWare Clients and Saving to a "Map Root" Drive mapping.

Good Luck. Hope this helps!

We didn't solve it but this problem has become moot as we are now sporting a brand new NT network.
Thankyou for the solutions though.
Cheers
