Hi,

What I've understood is :

* If ICP's are IP linked (not clustered) and OPS managed, diretories can be shared (or just a part of them) using distribution lists.

* If ICP's are clustered and OPS managed, directories are defined using "Portable directories" PDG

Am I right ?

In a network using clustered and un-clustered ICP's, do they have to be ALL clustered to share directories.
Can we share just a part of directories entries ?

How should it be set up ?

Thanks

You can mix and match.

Each system can Can Also be allocated an PNI

This would allow you to have some systems clustered and some networked or networked clusters.

Details get hazy

Thanks,

So it is possible (in mixed network) to have some directories entries just in one ICP (and not distributed to other ICP) ?

I've never been successful within a cluster of isolating names.

Instead I've adopted a naming scheme for stations I do not want to show up in the phone book.

By adding a . (period) in front of the name, it still looks good but doesn't come up in the phonebook search.

If your purpose is other than phonebook, I don't have any suggestions.

Thanks, good tip.

My purpose is about phone directories (external and internal phone numbers).

My will is to spread some entries to several sites and some others to only one site...

I've experienced that with DL, it was possible (on DL for each site and one global DL).

I don't know when you have PDG (in a cluster) or when you mix clustered and un clustered ICP's
