Hello
We have created a simple event text to email administrators when one of our applications writes to the windows event log with a specific error. As the application uses a generic event ID of 10 when writing events we modified the event filter to pick up on specific text within the message. For example
"Error changing to directory '\\Sh179edera\Scanning Folder\Divisional Output Folder\ "
However if an alert with the same event ID and critical status is generated we still get alerts. For example text for another event is:
"An error was encounterd reading the registry"
Puzzled has to why Director is alerting when not required.
Appreciate if anyone has any thoughts
Regards
Graeme
