Hey everyone,
I'm running Director 5.10 on my server and all my clients. When I did my new PC rollouts I cloned all my PCs from one image so I ran into the issue where the agents weren't being discovered properly.
I found the fix for this (thanks Catorze!!) and now I've deleted the proper reg key and file from a couple of clients to try it out. The clients are now being discovered but their names come up on the server as DEFAULTNAME. I've gone back into the agent configuration and renamed them but the server just won't pick these up.
My question is, is there anyway to force the server to grab the correct name? Does renaming the clients on the console actually rename that PC, or does that name just stick with the IP address and screw me up in the long run?
Thanks in advance!
