Hi,
(Legato Server 7.3.4 build 560)
I am trying to skip a snapshots using SQL module 5.0.0.154 using a directive. I am not able to do this after trying lots of different directives.

I am treating the snapshots like if they where databases, and if I use the backup command "nsrsqlsv -h NAME_OF_SNAPSHOT" it works fine, but I have a limit to 256 characters and I have 20 snapshots, hence not all fit.

What is the correct way to write the directive to skip a specific database in a specific instance? Does any one have a similar problem?

Is it the Backup Command field that has a limit of 256 characters, or is it the nsrsqlsv command itself that has the limit? If you type the nsrsqlsv command in a DOS prompt on the client, and add all databases (or snapshots) using

nsrsqlsv -s backupserver -h db1 -h db2 -h db3 ...

and so on, does the command/backup fail in any way? If not, then the command itself does not seem to be limited to 256, and you might be able to make a batch script containing the command and use that in the Backup Command field. Remember the name of the script must start with either "save" or "nsr", i.e. savesqltest.bat or nsrsqltest.bat or something similar.

Just a suggestion, i have no idea if that will work..

Cheers!
