I'm trying to produce an effect that would simulate someone kinda "smearing" the colors of a frame in one direction.
This is NOT a simple directional blur.
First of all, a directional blur is 2-way, and this is only smearing in one direction.
Second of all, is it possible to change the angle of smearing over time and have that not effect what's already been smeared.
Imagine that my characters are all steaming, and the direction the steam is blowing changes a little constantly during the scene.
Any ideas on achieving that? I think it's a little bit like when Frodo puts the ring on in LotR.
Thanks!
Edward
