Directed Recover with NetWorker 6.1.3

When I was running NetWorker 6.0.2 and I started a directed recover from the NetWorker User application, the Source Client window showed me a list of clients to which I had remote access and the Destination Client window showed me the client which I had chosen to recover and my workstation. With NetWorker User 6.1.3 the Source Client window shows me a list of all the clients registered in the NetWorker server (including Unix clients) and the Destination Client window shows me exactly the same list. This means that I can’t recover files from one remote client to my workstation. How can I get my workstation as a destination client without having to register it as a backup client in NetWorker 6.1.3?

Thanks for your help.

It's true, the behaviour of directed recover has changed in 6.1: you can see all the clients, but it doesn't mean you can restore from all of them; you must have remote access rights.
But you can recover files to your workstation as before, it should be in the destination client.

Is it possible to do a directed recover form Windows to Unix, or from Unix to Windows?

My workstation is not displayed as a destination client, unless I add it to the NetWorker server as a backup client.

Apparently it is possible to do a directed recover from Windows to Unix but from Unix to Windows, the command line recover must be used.

Thanks for your post.
