Direct VM transfer

Has anyone ever figured out a way to transfer an active call to the mailbox of the extension you are using?

Ex: I am on an outside call using ext 205 and I want to transfer that caller to mailbox 205, basically transfering to my own mailbox.

You need a direct VM button on your phone. Press it and dial your own extension number and hang up. Direct VM places the caller on hold awaiting transfer, your box number tells VM where to go.

Try this, transfer 770 (or vm hunt group) then wait for prompt then *8, enter your extension number (205) then hang-up. If you use this a lot you could create a phantom extension(ie300) with voicemail coverage, make that extension a autoattendant and record " Please enter extension" Now all you have to do is press do not disturb button, transfer your call to 300 hear the prompt"Please enter extension" enter 205 and hangup, remember to press do not disturb button after your call is done. I think that is the only way unless you transfer the call to another extension and ask them to do a direct to vm transfer. Hope this helps.
