Hey there, I've tried 12 different dip switch combonations on this BCM 400, I've got a DTM, ASM, DSM32+, and a 4X16. I can see my E1 lines just fine and all of my extentions even the analog but for some reason I can't get the 4 analog lines to show up on the 4X16 in the enabled physical lines.
I'm going to try replacing the 4X16 module thinking that it is bad.
Does anyone know if there is a conflict with the DTM and a 4X16 module?

Thanks
Loki

no there is no conflict, if they are on differnt buses

post the DIP s/w settings you have got

The 4x16 module takes up channels on two different busses. You could very easily be conflicting with another MBM since all the busses will have something on it.

Post your bus and dip switch settings.

over the past few weeks trying to figure out what was wrong I have tried several combinations of dip switch settings. So I will list a few and describe what was wrong with them.

First off the 4X16 module takes up 2 DS30 Buses, as well as the DSM32.(From what I've read)

Config 1
DTM bus 7 ... 4,6 dips off
DSM32 Bus 2+3 ... All dips on
ASM8 bus 4 ... 5 off
4X16 bus 5+6 ... 5,6 off

The result of this config is No enabled physical lines, as well as no analog stations but all of the Digital stations were fine

Config 2
DSM32 Bus 2+3 ... 1 off
ASM8 Bus 4 ... 5 off
DTM Bus 5 ... 5,6 off
4X16 Bus 6+7 ... 4 off

The result of this config is No enabled physical lines, as well as no analog stations with only half of the digital stations working.

Config 3
DTM Bus 2 ... all on
4X16 Bus 3+4 ... 6 off
DSM32 Bus 5+6 ... 1,5,6 off
ASM8 Bus 7 ... 4,6 off

The results here are the full 30 lines for my E1 but no lines for my analog ports or any of my analog stations.

I've tried about 15 other different combinations and switching the modules around in the BCM but still have no luck with seeing everything at the same time (34 Enabled physical lines, 8 analog stations, and 48 Digital stations)

Thanks for taking the time to look at this!

Try these settings

DSM32 Bus 2 off on on on on on

ASM8 Bus 5 on on on on off off

4x16 Bus 6 on on on on on on

DTM Bus 7 on on on off on off

Actually your 4X16 module would then be unable to use it's 16 stations if you do that.

But yesterday I found out that there is nothing wrong with the way I position the dip switches. The conflict was with the 4X16 and the DTM being set up for an E1 (Since I am in Bolivia) and thats what they use here. There are several passages in the documentation CD that told me that the 4X16 card was for NA systems only and I just over looked them cause I had already put one in sucessfully, the trick was that that setup did not have an E1, so it functioned just like a NA system. Thank you for all of your help in this matter, I've sent off for a GATM8 that you can set the country destination codes on it for the specific country. Which hopefully will work like a charm.

Thanks again,
Loki!
