bcm400 4.0. what do I set the dipswitch to? I am stuck, the manual says 1\4 ds-30, not sure what that means.

Thank you

Whichever bus you are setting this on it would need to be set to offset 0 assuming it is the only one.

Which bus are you hoping to set this on?

NCSS, NCDS, NCTS

I don't know exactly the bus, but the main chassis is full with a DTM module, an 8ASA module, and a 32 DSM module. THe expansion chassis has only a 32 DSM, so I was planning to put it just below that module. I won't know the bus assignment until it appears in element manager, unless you have another way of knowing?

The dipswitch is use to change the offset and bus number. the right switch are use to change the Bus the three left switch are use to change the offset module, when you want to change the number lines use for you GATM4 you have to change the offset if you dont care do this:

offset BUS
on on on on on on

If you use this configuartion you going to have this:
BUS2--> Select trunk and then loop
Lines --> 211-214

Done

Lastly, will my telco cable use the first 4 pair? Blue/whit blue, orange/white orange etc?

Tony

Nope. First 2 pairs, then skip two pairs, then w/sl and r/bl.
