Dinamic Recordsource with MySQL Table

Hello Forum.
I apologize in advance for my english...
Scenario:
I have an Access DB splitted in FE and BE; the BE is located on a MySQL Database.
Tables are NOT linked in the FE.
I have this problem: I'm not be able to change dinamically the recordsource of a form.
When i try to open the form this error is shown ... Error 2580: (The specified recordsource doesn't exist)
If I LINK the tables that are involved in the SQL string that is the RecordSource of the form the error is NOT shown.
Is not possible to change the RecordSource of a form if the tables are NOT linked in the FE?

Sounds like you should look into passthrough queries.
