Well, BigDin....maybe you don't have that funtion in corel v6. I don't know because it's been a long time since I last used it. I use corel v11 now and I also have access to versions 8, 9 and 10, so here's a way you can still place those marks at evenly spaced intervals at the side of an object but first do this test.....
-make a small box
-select it
-hold down the ctrl key and press D at the same time
-if you got a dup. box on the original but slightly to one side do not continue with the instructions below
-if it looks like nothing happend then move the box that's still selectd, there should now be two boxes if this is true continue with the instructions below
I'm assuming that your rulers are set to the units of measure you wanted on them.
1) in the upper left corner where your rulers join together, place your cursor in that corner hold the left mouse button down and drag back to a corner on your object where you will start to make the marks that you want (you will see two dashed lines intersect at the point of your cursor)
2) you've just placed the zero markes of your rulers on the corner of your object. You will now be able to align your marks evenly from the first one
3) align your first mark at the edge of the object
(note: to align a mark exactly to an edge select the mark then the object, together, then press;...ctrl-L aligns to left...ctrl-R aligns to right...ctrl-T aligns to top....ctrl-B aligns to bottom)
4) now deselect anything selected
5) select the mark only
6) press ctrl-D a duplicate mark should be placed on the original mark (if there's no dup. made or the dup. is not directly on top of the original, stop here & post me a message.....if the mark is on the original then proceed)
7) move the selected dup. mark, the distance you want away from the first, then hold down the ctrl key while pressing D for each mark you want
