Hallo,

is there any way where in I can change the dimension style permanently.

for example I have the dimension Text style as isocp.shx
and i have changed it to Arial Narrow. I finish the drawing and then open another drawing. There the style comes back again to isocp.shx but not Arial Narrow.

where can i change the style so that i dont need to change for each drawing.

waiting for an answer from you people.

Hi singoi,

How the heck are ya?

For existing drawings you'll need to change the sytle in each drawing, for new drawings, just modify the acad.dwt file.

Hallo Todd,
i am fine and hope the same from you.

Thanks for answer Todd. I always expect an answer from you.

well i have modified acad.dwt

still after opening a new draing again the same old dimension style is getting activated. I want that my dimension style should be activated each and everytime i open a new drawing from now onwards. How to make it.

Hi singhoi,

A couple of things to check:

Make sure you have the dimension style you just modified set to the current style.

Second, make sure when you start a new drawing, you are specifying the modiified acad.dwt as your template.

Finally, make sure when you save the acad.dwt, you save it as a [purple].dwt[/purple] not [purple].dwg[/purple].
